Welcome to my blog! I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of Peebles, Saskatchewan. In case you are wondering where Peebles is (which most people do!) it is about an hour and fifteen minutes southeast of Regina. I blog about all sorts of things…. weddings, couples, families but also the day to day moments of my life. I hope you will stay a while & come back to visit often!
I am not one of those people who grew up with a camera in hand, snapping pictures of everything. The photos I do have, I cherish and it makes me so happy to turn the pages of old albums full of memories, cup of tea in hand. After becoming a mother, I became more aware of just how inspiring and beautiful every day moments could be. I quickly became passionate about learning everything I could about my camera so I didn’t miss a single moment.
As my passion grew, I realized that I wanted to share this with others and capture inspired images for clients who have quickly become friends. I have so many wonderful friends in this industry who have mentored me and supported me and I can’t thank them enough!
My biggest inspiration is my family. My husband Andrew (who is my second shooter!) makes me laugh every day and I often wonder how I was so lucky to marry such a wonderful guy! Our three daughters, Brielle, Maya and Desta make me thankful every day to be a mom. They truly inspire me to be the best that I can be and I love each one of their unique personalities!
I am also inspired by my clients…. I could not ask for better! Your connection with each other and your love is beautiful to see and I am honored to be able to capture that!
On a rainy day, you will find our family hanging out in the kitchen cooking away. (Yes, Andrew is also a great cook and the girls are learning too!) There are so many things we love to do outdoors as well from bike riding, quadding, skiing and more. Family time is precious to me, and this is why I take a limited number of weddings and lifestyle sessions. The moments fly too quickly and I want to cherish every single one!
I have so much to be thankful for, there is beauty all around me. Thank you to each one who trusts me to be a part of capturing treasured memories for them!
